Documentaries & Film Music

 Welcome back DeEzye Tribe!

I hope you have all been well and killin’ it!

Directing Documentaries:

As of three weeks ago, I am now a director for a student documentary on fast fashion. I have implemented all my knowledge from being a leader at work; however, there are quite a few differences in how I work with my crew. I believe that the essentials to working as a team and being a director are:

- Be proactive and don’t sublet jobs unless it is extremely necessary; otherwise, the people you work with may view you as lazy

- Be respectful and mindful of everyone’s opinion, and respond as you would like someone to respond to your own opinion.

- Listen and accept all feedback and criticism (everyone's opinion matters)

- Be prepared and organised

- Inspire greatness by fostering a collaborative crew/community, lead with passion and recognise hard work

- Like any team, chemistry is extremely important

- Make your crew feel comfortable coming to you regarding any quarrels that they have had with another crew member

Lastly, never moan about anything; just resolve the issue, understand what could have been done better to prevent it from occurring, and move on.

Film Music:

Recently, I have been focusing on creating a track every morning for 30 minutes. This is so that I can keep my creative cogs turning and build upon the stems of the tracks soon. A couple of the tracks I have created are for upcoming fiction films and documentary soundtracks. I am also currently making my own aesthetic documentary, and I have curated one of my meditative tracks to suit the tone, rhythm and style. I am extremely eager to release my own individual documentary called "In Motion" in the next few weeks as I will be the cinematographer, sound designer, sound composer, director, editor and producer (everything).

Stay tuned for new music and documentaries...

Keep the vibes alive in 2025
